The Pick n Pay Wine & Food Festival Cape Town is the place to be this April.
Enjoy the Mother City’s secret season by celebrating South Africa’s wine country, and enjoy award-winning wines, delicious food options and live music at our exciting new venue, the Claremont Cricket Club at the Constantia Sports Complex on Constantia Main Road (adjacent to the Virgin Active).
The Festival offers visitors the opportunity to sample wines from approx. 50 top wine estates. And if you love bubbles, you’re in for a treat with a variety of Cap Classique and sparkling wines for all to enjoy.
The Pick n Pay Fresh Food Market will serve an assortment of dishes prepared with fresh ingredients such as fish and chips, fresh salads, sushi and indulgent cheese and charcuterie boards. Pick n Pay’s Burger & Pizza Trucks will also serve their popular dishes!
Looking to enjoy the Festival without having to worry about what you’re going to eat? We’ve got you covered. Buy your ticket and add on a picnic bag to share – filled with Pick n Pay’s finest cheeses, cured meats, fresh bread, biltong, hummus and more to enjoy while relaxing on the lawns.
Meanwhile, our ever-popular Pick n Pay Tasting Room sessions are back! Go on the ultimate sensory journey with our celebrity chef and the featured producer of your particular session, and pair your favourite wines with freshly prepared gourmet canapés. Space is limited to ONLY 50 guests per session, and promises to elevate your Cape winelands experience to a whole new level.
PLUS – as a first in Cape Town, you have an opportunity to enjoy your Wine Festival, VIP-style! Your VIP Hospitality ticket gives you exclusive access to a dedicated shaded seating area, where you can enjoy the day in comfort and style, complete with complimentary food and beverage service throughout the afternoon.

| 12.30pm – 1pm | Pick n Pay Tasting Room Experience – Exclusive to PnP Wine Club Members Limited to 50 guests only, Pick n Pay Wine Club Members can book a seat to a 30-minute wine and food pairing experience. |
| 1pm – 4.30pm | General Pouring / Tasting The Token System will be in place for tastings. One token per tasting, and the 50ml tasting portion reaches the tasting line that is clearly printed on your glass. These tokens are in place to ensure that everyone receives a single tasting; please do not try to exchange multiple tokens for a full glass of wine. Tokens expire at 4.30pm and are not redeemable for cash. |
| 1.30pm – 4.30pm | Pick n Pay Tasting Room Experience Book your seat in one of our popular tasting room sessions, and enjoy a sensory experience like no other. Your 30-minute tasting journey will be skillfully guided by celebrity chef Tjaart Walraven and the winemaker of the estate in your session – pairing three top-class wines with freshly prepared canapés. |
| Until 5.30pm | Wine Sales from Central Wine Shop Buy a bottle of your favourite wine to share with friends while enjoying live music, and stock up on some extras to take home. |
| Until 5.30pm | Food Sales & Entertainment Want to take a break from tasting? Fuel up with a wide array of affordable meals and quick snacks – from burgers to pizzas, salads, and fish & chips, to oysters and sushi – while soaking up the live music vibe. While wine and food sales close at 5.30pm, you can still sit back, relax, and enjoy your food and wine until the event closes at 6pm. |
