In the interest of promoting responsible drinking and to honour the various price points of the wines available, a token system is in place.
While these tokens have no value (and cannot be exchanged for cash), you will “pay” between one and four tokens per tasting, based on the price point of the wine.
- Under R100 – 1 Token
- R101 – R200 – 2 Tokens
- R201 – R400 – 3 Tokens
- Over R400 – 4 Tokens
TASTING STANDS CLOSE at 4.30pm. The 50ml tasting portion reaches the tasting line that is clearly printed on your glass. Please do not try to exchange multiple tokens for a full glass of wine.
Strictly NO Under 18s (babies in strollers are not allowed).

The Pick n Pay Wine & Food Festival Durban is the place to be this June.
Celebrate South Africa’s wine country, and enjoy award-winning wines, delicious food options and live music at the beautiful Chris Saunders Park in uMhlanga.
The Festival offers visitors the opportunity to sample wines from a curated selection of top wine estates. And if you love bubbles, you’re in for a treat with a variety of Cap Classique and sparkling wines for all to enjoy.
Note that alcohol may only be consumed at the venue, and may not be taken off-site. Therefore, please do not purchase bottles of wine with the view of taking your purchases home. Alcohol will be confiscated at the event venue exit.
Our ever-popular Pick n Pay Tasting Room sessions are back! Go on the ultimate tasting journey with our celebrity chef and the featured producer of your particular session, and pair your favourite wines with freshly prepared gourmet canapés. Space is limited to ONLY 40 guests per session, and promises to elevate your wine festival experience. At R130 per person per session, this add-on ticket can be purchased in addition to your Early or General Access ticket on Webtickets.
The Pick n Pay Fresh Food Market will serve an assortment of dishes prepared with fresh ingredients such as curry, fish and chips, fresh salads, sushi and indulgent cheese and charcuterie boards. Pick n Pay’s Burger & Pizza Trucks will also serve their popular dishes!

Pre-book this new-look, new-taste picnic experience as an add-on when you purchase your Early or General Access ticket on Webtickets.
The Pick n Pay Picnic serves 2 and is an add-on ticket. An event ticket must be purchased separately.

Note that alcohol may only be consumed at the venue, and may not be taken off-site. Therefore, please do not purchase bottles of wine with the view of taking your purchases home. Alcohol will be confiscated at the event venue exit. |
| Until 5pm | Food Sales Want to take a break from tasting? Fuel up with a wide array of quick snacks and affordable meals – from curries, burgers, pizzas, salads, and fish & chips, to oysters and sushi – while soaking up the live music vibe. While wine and food sales close at 5pm, you can still sit back, relax, and enjoy your food and wine until the event closes at 5.30pm. |
