A new season calls for a new setting, as the Pick n Pay Wine & Food Festival Durban heads to its brand-new home at Sugar Rush Park in Ballito on 3 October 2026.
A celebration of SA’s vibrant wine country
For one spectacular day, wine lovers and foodies can taste their way through some of the best South Africa has to offer, with approximately 50 leading wine estates bringing an impressive selection of reds, whites and rosés, alongside Cap Classique, sparkling wines, Champagne, and wine-based cocktails.
When it’s time to eat, the Pick n Pay Fresh Food Market will offer an enticing selection of freshly prepared dishes, from nutritious bowls, lamb dishes and sushi to vibrant salads, gourmet cheese and charcuterie boards. The ever-popular Pick n Pay Burger & Pizza Trucks will also be serving crowd favourites throughout the afternoon.
For guests wanting to make the most of the new outdoor setting, pre-packed picnic bags can be added to Early Access or General Access tickets. Serving 2, each bag is packed with meats, cheeses, fresh bread, spreads, water, and more – providing an easy way to settle in on the lawns and soak up the festival atmosphere and live music.
The much-loved Pick n Pay Tasting Room will also return with its guided wine-pairing experiences for those wanting to take their tasting journey to the next level. Hosted by a chef and wine expert alongside a featured wine producer, each session pairs exceptional wines with freshly prepared gourmet canapés in an immersive sensory experience.
With just 40 seats available per session, Tasting Room experiences are expected to be highly sought after. Sessions are available as a R150 add-on to Early Access or General Access tickets. Guests are required to book the specific session they want to attend.
The move to Sugar Rush Park marks an exciting new chapter for the Durban festival, creating an opportunity to experience Pick n Pay Wine & Food Festival in a fresh, relaxed outdoor environment while retaining the food, wine, entertainment and interactive experiences that guests have come to love.
Whether you’re searching for your next favourite bottle, enjoying delicious food with friends, learning from wine experts or simply spending a spring afternoon on the lawns, the Pick n Pay Wine & Food Festival Durban is all about discovering something delicious.
Note that Durban does not allow off-site consumption, and guests should not purchase wine on-site with the view of taking a few bottles home. Instead, Pick n Pay asap! staff will be on hand to help guests order and schedule delivery via the asap! app.
Taste it. Love it. Take it home.
